About the role
The People & Culture Business Partner is a trusted advisor to leaders, providing end-to-end support across the employee lifecycle for a designated client group. The role focuses on building strong relationships, enhancing employee experience and delivering people initiatives that align with organisational strategy.
What you'll be doing
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding and succession planning.
- Support recruitment activities, including contracts, offers and participation in assessment and selection processes.
- Coordinate induction, training and coaching, and help identify development needs across teams.
- Drive engagement initiatives and support surveys and follow-up action planning to improve employee experience.
- Provide timely advice on employee and industrial relations, including Awards, NES and workplace legislation.
- Support performance and conduct matters, including coaching leaders, managing cases and contributing to investigations.
- Contribute to safety and injury management processes, including return-to-work coordination and compliance with WHS requirements.
- Support people and culture projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Solid knowledge of Australian employment and workplace safety legislation and the ability to interpret and advise.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR or business partnering role.
- Proven capability in coaching leaders on people matters and driving positive performance and culture outcomes.
- Experience managing ER/IR issues, including performance, grievance and conduct matters within agreed timeframes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to inform decisions.
