Personal Support Worker (Psw) - On Call

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being.

Duties

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility support
• Support with meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe environment
• Offer companionship, social engagement, and emotional support
• Follow individualized care plans and report on client conditions or concerns
• Accurately document care provided and any notable changes in client health or behavior
• Travel within the GTA region to provide in-home and community support

Experience

• Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or equivalent recognized in Ontario
• Previous experience in nursing homes or senior care settings is preferred.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check / Police Record Check
• Up-to-date immunisations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
• Flexible and willing to accept shifts on short notice
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to respecting client dignity and independence

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
