Reports To: Managing Partner

Job Description:

The PR and Events Manager is responsible for driving brand equity and consumer engagement through the strategic development, execution, and evaluation of large-scale events, consumer activations, and partnerships. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and an ability to translate brand objectives into culturally relevant, high-impact experiences that strengthen affinity across audiences.

The Manager also provides direction and coaching to the Community Relations Associate (CRAs) and agency partners, ensuring seamless alignment with marketing, PR, and business priorities while maintaining operational and financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Brand Events & Activations

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy and oversight of consumer events and brand activations.
  • Translate brand calendars into innovative consumer engagement programs that strengthen equity and drive measurable business impact.
  • Provide hands-on guidance in creative development, from ideation to execution ensuring activations are on-brand and best-in-class.
  • Take an active role in vendor briefings, venue scouting and on-ground supervision to ensure flawless execution.
  • Lead the team through an organized check-list to ensure nothing is missed

Partnerships & Collaborations

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with organizations, talent, influencers and media platforms to amplify earned brand campaigns.
  • Negotiate collaboration terms that maximize brand exposure, shared resources and value creation.
  • Maintain an active presence in the industry by personally nurturing partner relationships and identifying new collaboration opportunities.

Community Engagement Leadership

  • Design and oversee community engagement strategies targeted at salons, beauty advocates, lifestyle communities, Queens interest spaces and micro-influencers.
  • Establish relationships with “Friends of PA” KOL list to ensure high quality attendance in events, pro-bono
  • Provide coaching and supervision to Community Relations Associates (CRAs) while also directly engaging with community stakeholders when needed (e.g., salons, beauty experts, advocates)

Budget, Performance, and Reporting

  • Own and optimize budgets for events, partnerships, and community programs ensuring efficient allocation and compliance.
  • Track, analyze, and report activation performance; present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conduct post-event reviews, documenting best practices and actionable improvements.
  • Create CEs and COCs for Events and Communities
