Technical Skills: molecular biology; recombinant strain engineering; microbial cultivation and testing for recombinant protein production; robotics and assay experience nice to have; experience with DNA visualisation and statistical analysis software.

Experience: Seeking an individual that has experience working in a cell biology, biochemistry or molecular biology (or similar) laboratory. Post-3rd year graduate students studying biology or similar fields.

Soft Skills: Organized with scheduling and documentation of lab work, quick learner, excited to work in a fast paced lab environment, enjoys protocol development and problem solving.

Opportunity: Gain experience working in a startup environment, lab position on-site in Woodland, 3 mo + internship with possibility to transition into full time employment.

Position Location: Woodland, CA

Hours per week: 20-40

Duration: 3 months + (Flexible)

Start Date: March 2023 (Flexible)

Pay: $22-$25 DOE

Project: Engineer microbes for recombinant protein production; support the development of basic protocols and test new ideas for improving recombinant protein production. You will be working under the direction of a scientist for training and mentorship.
