Principal Product Manager, Robotics
ANYbotics is a fast-growing tech company dedicated to shaping the future of mobile robotics across multiple industries. Join our highly talented and motivated team of more than 200 people and work on cutting-edge robot technology.

ANYbotics is a tech company dedicated to shaping the future of mobile robotics through Embodied AI across multiple industries. Our autonomous quadruped robots, like ANYmal, are redefining safety and productivity in the world’s most demanding environments—from offshore oil rigs to chemical plants, power utilities and other complex industrial sectors.

As a leader in mobile robotics, we provide an end-to-end solution that combines cutting-edge autonomy, high-value data analytics and mechanical engineering excellence. Our solution enables autonomous inspection and monitoring of large-scale industrial facilities, increasing safety while maximizing uptime for the world's most critical infrastructure.

The Opportunity

The Product Management team at ANYbotics is the strategic heartbeat of the company. We bridge breakthrough engineering and commercial success. As the Principal Product Manager for Robot Platforms, you will own the vision, strategy, and lifecycle of our core robotic hardware and software. You will be the architect of our multi-generational robot roadmap, ensuring ANYbotics remains at the absolute forefront of the robotics revolution.

The Market & Our Technology

ANYbotics transforms the industrial sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach (see our case studies in Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Railways, Wind Energy, Mining, Construction). Our customers are large asset operators and service providers of industrial plants pioneering robotics technology for inspection and maintenance. Our solution enables autonomous routine inspections and monitoring of large-scale industrial facilities for increased safety and productivity. We develop numerous customized hardware systems, including the entire robotic platform, actuators, sensors, inspection payloads, charging systems, and software to achieve world-class mobility, autonomy, and inspection capabilities, often based on AI. We have proven the technology and the business impact on our customers in long-term pilot projects. We are now scaling the commercialization of our solution(s) and deploying directly into operation at customer facilities worldwide.

Your Impact

    • Vision & Strategy: Define and own the multi-generational product roadmap for our robot families. You will identify key value drivers by viewing the world through the eyes of our industrial customers.
    • End-to-End Ownership: Manage the product through every stage of its journey—from initial market requirement documents (MRDs) to full-stack product synthesis, regulatory certifications, market introduction and ongoing portfolio evolution. You will ensure the roadmap accounts for supply chain viability, manufacturing readiness, and global serviceability.
    • Cross-Functional Catalyst: Drive the organizational synergy required to bring products to market that are both technically superior and commercially viable. You will serve as the critical link between R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams to resolve complex trade-offs and align technical development with business priorities.
    • Go-to-Market Excellence: Develop and deliver sales enablement toolkits, including product positioning, competitive intelligence, and training materials. You will ensure the Commercial team is fully equipped to articulate our unique value and win complex deals.
    • Product Launch and Adoption: Partner with the Marketing team to design and execute high-impact product launches while serving as the primary platform evangelist. You will articulate the ANYbotics vision both internally and at a global industry level to drive widespread adoption of our robots.
    • Business Leadership: Develop robust business cases anchored in best-practice financial models (ROI, TCO) to secure R&D funding and guide resource allocation through critical development gates.
    • Ecosystem Development: Manage strategic relationships with robot ecosystem partners, including hardware component and module suppliers, Contract Manufacturers and software suppliers.

Your profile

    • Experience: 8+ years of Product Management experience leading technologically complex products (Hardware + Software).
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
    • Technical Depth: A strong understanding of robotics fundamentals—from autonomy (perception, navigation, behavior, locomotion) to sensing and compute systems—combined with an architectural grasp of how hardware subsystems—such as sensor suites, compute units, wireless, and networking modules—integrate into a cohesive robotic platform.
    • Grit: A self-starter who thrives in the fast-paced, high-stakes environment of a scaling deep-tech company.
    • Strategic Lifecycle Leadership: Proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle—from initial discovery and MRD through market launch, production scaling, and multi-generational portfolio evolution within a cross-functional team.
    • Customer-Centricity & Sales Enablement: Keen observer of customer personas and pain points with a deep understanding of what resonates in the market. Experienced in partnering with Sales teams on strategic pursuits and developing the tools necessary to enable global sales success.
    • Business & Commercial Acumen: Expertise in developing robust business cases and leveraging financial principles to justify R&D investments and guide strategic resource allocation. Proven ability to navigate market dynamics, competitive strategy, and complex pricing models.
    • Partnerships & Legal Fluency: Capable of managing strategic relationships with hardware, software and manufacturing ecosystem partners. Comfortable navigating the commercial and legal foundations of partnerships, including SOWs, MOUs, and licensing agreements.
    • Executive Communication & Influence: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to motivate internal stakeholders without formal authority. Skilled at translating complex technical concepts for diverse internal and external audiences, from R&D engineers to C-suite executives.
    • Travel: Willing to travel 20 - 30% of the time

Bonus Points

    • Industry Verticals: Experience in one or more of the following domains: Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, high-volume manufacturing, or the production of chemicals, metals, and other asset-heavy materials.
    • Robotics Applications: Experience applying mobile robotics to manufacturing workflows and industrial environments.
    • Other Domain Expertise: Background in industrial inspection workflows or predictive maintenance (with or without a robotics context).
    • Global Operations: Success doing business internationally, working with customers, partners and Contract Manufacturers (CM/ODM) across multiple continents.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial safety standards (e.g., ATEX, IECEx, or CE/ISO) relevant to hazardous environments.
We offer you a very exciting and dynamic work environment, the opportunity to become part of a fast-growing company and an ambitious team that is on a mission to change the industrial inspection market, a chance to leverage your experience and bring in your own ideas, a fair market salary, an attractive employee stock ownership plan, and a job in the city of Zurich.
