Legal Counsel – Markets & Financial Services

We’re partnering with a global financial institution looking to strengthen its legal team supporting markets and banking operations across the APAC region. This role will work closely with business and compliance stakeholders, providing legal guidance on regulatory and commercial matters within a fast-paced financial services environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide legal support and advice to business units within the Markets division
• Review, draft, and maintain legal documentation related to financial products and services
• Support legal matters involving regulatory investigations, disputes, or proceedings
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on business operations
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Support implementation of legal and regulatory frameworks, policies, and controls
• Deliver training and guidance on legal and regulatory requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified lawyer admitted in a Common Law jurisdiction (Singapore preferred)
• Strong background in financial services and banking regulatory law across APAC
• Experience supporting capital markets and/or private banking products
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
• Able to manage complex issues and work effectively under pressure
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
