McCain Foods is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Cleaner to join our Timaru team. This hands-on role is crucial for maintaining the sanitation and cleanliness standards essential for our production processes.

The ideal candidate will ensure daily, weekly, and long-term sanitation requirements are met, promoting a safe and compliant environment, whilst working a 4 on, 4 off 12-hour day shift pattern.

The role

• Support Process Operators in daily cleaning tasks, complete sanitation tasks for production changeovers, and execute deep cleaning tasks as per the Master Cleaning Schedule
• Update and create supporting documentation as required

About you

• Understanding of sanitation needs within a food processing environment
• Previous chemical awareness or handling would be beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
• Ability to understand and create/update documentation
• Team player with strong people and communication skills
• Ability to manage projects with a focus on results, logical thinking and problem solving
