ING Analytics

ING Analytics is a unit responsible for realizing this vision for ING, differentiating ING as a leader in data-driven organization, within the banking sector and beyond. The team consists of a number of tribes around the bank’s key domains (such as Operations, Retail Banking, Wholesale banking, etc.), local country analytics teams, as well as strong support areas around data management, technology, customer journey, UX, and external partnerships.

Product Lead Retail Banking Products job purpose

You take the lead to transition ING Analytics into a more product thinking organization, where you are end-to-end accountable for the product vision, including functionality, technology, user experience design and experiences that are needed to deliver on the product’s value. In specific subareas this might also include overseeing income and expenditure for a specific product to execute P&L responsibility appropriately. You work in close collaboration with the global and local Business tribes.

You hierarchically lead one or several squads which have the purpose to develop, implement and/or maintain Analytics products & services.

As Product Lead, you report to the Tribe Lead Retail Banking Analytics. Your responsibilities include:

  • Own a product (end-to-end). Accountable for the product vision, including functionality, technology, user experience design and offline experiences that are needed to deliver on the product’s value
  • Perform analyses and stay in touch with the market to signal trends and to ensure product’s competitive position
  • Define the roadmap of the product to maximize business value through ordering and prioritization of the product backlog
  • Focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose.
  • Build the craftsmanship of the employees in the team in line with the strategy of the Tribe and Area, support recruitment
  • Hierarchically manage a team of Customer Journey Experts, working in multiple squads organized around the specified product
  • Ensure compliancy with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements

About you

  • Education: Master's degree in technical / business field (engineering, computer science, econometrics or equivalent)
  • Experience: Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive 7-10 years job or domain related experience in own area of expertise
  • Competencies:
    • Experience in defining strategies and policies within medium to long time frames
    • Sound experience in building and executing roadmaps
    • Demonstrable business-to-IT affinity
    • A proven track record in backlog management and resource planning
    • Experience in product/service management and development
    • Experience in the coaching and development of individuals
    • Entrepreneurial mindset
    • Experience in digitization, automation and optimization of customer journeys and internal processes
