Are you passionate about making products better every single day? As Product Manager – Sustaining & Product Improvements, you will take the lead in driving continuous enhancements across AutoStore’s Cube portfolio—one of the world’s most advanced automated storage systems. In this role, you’ll turn customer insights, field learnings, and product data into meaningful improvements that strengthen product quality, customer experience, and operational performance.
'
You will define and prioritize a clear product improvements roadmap, partnering closely with engineering, QA, operations, supply chain, and service teams to ensure improvements deliver measurable customer and business value. While Product Owners handle execution and delivery, you own the decisions—why we do something, when we do it, and how it shapes the broader product strategy.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a technical environment, enjoys being close to the product, and wants real responsibility in shaping a market‑leading hardware–software system. You’ll collaborate directly with customers and partners, bring structure to complex challenges, and influence a product used by some of the world’s most innovative companies.
If you’re someone who takes initiative, makes confident decisions, and wants to see your impact reflected across a global product line, this role offers a unique opportunity to do exactly that. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Product Management.
Key Responsibility:
- Translate customer issues, field insights, and operational feedback into clear and actionable product requirements.
- Prioritize product improvements using data, customer value, reliability trends, and overall business impact.
- Work effectively with hardware–software integrated products, understanding both technical constraints and practical implications.
- Communicate clearly and confidently to align cross‑functional teams around priorities and decisions.
- Apply strong analytical thinking with a customer‑centric and detail‑oriented mindset to support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners while maintaining ownership and accountability for product decisions and outcomes.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience driving (not just coordinating) product improvements, sustaining initiatives, or lifecycle projects.
- Experience contributing to product improvement or sustaining roadmaps.
- Ability to use product data, cost drivers, reliability trends, and defect patterns to inform decisions and prioritization.
- Skilled in writing clear problem definitions, requirements, and measurable success criteria.
- Comfortable collaborating with engineering, QA, operations, supply chain, and service teams.
- Experience supporting lifecycle sustaining activities, including quality upgrades and cost‑optimization efforts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain roadmap decisions, trade-offs, and rationale to diverse stakeholders.
We Offer:
- A Collaborative and Inclusive Culture where we celebrate and value everyone’s contributions, encouraging diverse perspectives in decision-making.
- Work-Life Balance & Well-being: We offer 1 hour per week of paid exercise, health insurance, and a generous pension plan, prioritizing your mental and physical well-being.
- A Creative and Safe Workplace by joining a company experiencing rapid growth, with the stability of being Norway’s first unicorn listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
- International and Supportive Environment within a Norwegian multinational that values collaboration and innovation
