Product Strategy
- Build strong relationships and partner with heritage institutions, museums, libraries, and research organisations to define product vision, business objectives, strategy and roadmap for AI and data initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement to develop value propositions for AI-powered heritage solutions and secure buy-in for product initiatives
Product Discovery
- Conducting product discovery and user service journey workshops
- Conduct competitive landscape analysis and market positioning for heritage technology solutions
- Define go-to-market strategies and product launch plans
- Create and maintain product documentation and knowledge bases
- Conduct user testing sessions with historians, curators, and heritage enthusiasts to translate insights into AI and data product improvements
Product Development
- Manage product backlog, conduct user interviews, run design sprints, development sprints and prioritize features to deliver maximum value for users
- Define, implement and track key product metrics including user acquisition, engagement, conversion rates, and retention across AI and data platform features
- Own product performance through comprehensive analytics, monitoring user behaviour patterns, feature adoption rates, and platform usage trends to drive data-driven product decisions
- Write clear product requirements and user stories for AI models, data pipelines, and analytics platforms
- Own product performance and track user engagement by making data-driven decisions through advanced analytics and AI metrics
- Maintain and manage updates, model retraining, and bug fixes to ensure AI system reliability and data platform stability
Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage product budgets and resource allocation
- Justify ROI and business value of product initiatives
Communication & Reporting
- Present product updates to senior leadership and board members
- Create regular product performance reports and dashboards
- Communicate product roadmap changes to stakeholders
- Manage external vendor relationships and partnerships
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in product management, with preference for AI/data product experience
- Experience working directly with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, designers, and product teams
- Strong background in modern AI/data development practices (Agile, AWS Cloud, Cloud AI services, Data Engineering, Design Thinking)
- Proven track record of shipping successful AI or data products from scratch
Technical Skills
- AI/ML product and project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven approaches
- Understanding of machine learning workflows, data pipelines, and AI model deployment
- User experience (UX) capabilities
Professional Attributes
- Familiarity with IM8 policies, GCC architecture, CI/CD pipelines
- Strategic thinking and decision-making ability in AI and data contexts
- Excellence in stakeholder management and communication across technical and non-technical audiences
