Production Control Planner

JOB SUMMARY

'Responsible in preparing the monthly production plan in accordance to sales plan or forecast, purchase order, kanban, and remaining inventories (both work-in process and finished goods). In collating all information, a master plan or spreadsheet shall be created that reflects consolidated figures of each product item. Upon approval of the plan, it shall be translated to production calendar that shows the daily production target, machine allocation and duration of process. Any major changes must be updated to the plan and calendar and disseminated thru email or hard copy to all concerned personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Forecast the need of additional machine and manpower by providing (6) six months simulation as advance preparation if there will be major adjustment.
• Formulate plan and schedule of each product processes and operation according to established manufacturing sequences and lead time
• Review production plan to identify risks and communicate the same to Immediate Superior
• Coordinate with the department / section head or supervisor to determine status of production and the availability of machines for production; with the raw material control for the availability of raw materials and delivery; with subcontractor control of work-in-process stocks and planning processes and with shipping section for the availability of finished goods and delivery
• Ensures that production scheduled is being assessed, followed and subsequently served and delivered to customers.
• Expedites operations that delay and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions with corresponding recovery plan.
• Performed troubleshoot on scheduled problems and maintained records of material deficiency.
• Responsible to report to immediate concern person or section the result of production output indicating whether or not the production quantity has met.
• Submit the monthly production output as reference on the next month forecast and preparation of target production plan.
• Provides technical support to Planning Assistant or any related section by using proven expert knowledge and best practice to support Production Control Department.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Graduate of 4 to 5years courses preferably BS Industrial Engineering or any related courses
• In depth knowledge of production planning process and operations in manufacturing field is an advantage.
