Job Title: Project Controller
Position Overview:
The Project Controller will assist the project control lead and project team with project control activities, including deliverable and schedule updates, fee/cost tracking, reporting, and progress monitoring. This role is ideal for someone looking to build expertise in project planning, scheduling, and performance management within a collaborative and fast-paced consultancy environment.
The Project Controller will assist the project control lead and project team with project control activities, including deliverable and schedule updates, fee/cost tracking, reporting, and progress monitoring. This role is ideal for someone looking to build expertise in project planning, scheduling, and performance management within a collaborative and fast-paced consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining project delivery schedules.
- Support progress tracking, reporting on schedule updates, and identifying variances from the baseline.
- Contribute to performance analysis.
- Help coordinate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in preparing project performance reports (weekly/monthly), providing details on progress, forecasts, risks, and opportunities.
- Work with project teams to gather inputs and ensure accuracy in data for schedules and cost reporting.
- Support risk management processes, identifying risks, and assisting in mitigation planning.
- Collaborate with project managers and the project control lead to ensure project objectives, schedules, and deliverables are met.
- Maintain project control documentation, including change requests, updates, and stakeholder communications.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of project scheduling data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a project team.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and processes.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in project control, planning, QS or related roles
- Familiarity with large-scale or design project environments is a plus.
- Exposure to project management principles such as earned value management (EVM) and critical path analysis is advantageous but not essential.
