Project Management Intern

The Project Management Intern is responsible for supporting the comprehensive planning, meticulous coordination, and accurate tracking of software development projects. This role is instrumental in ensuring that all assigned tasks, defined timelines, and critical deliverables are precisely aligned with established sprint goals, simultaneously maintaining clear and professional documentation and facilitating effective communication across all involved teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate sprint activities, including the management of timelines and allocation of task assignments.
  • Accurately track and report on project progress, key milestones, and deliverables across all functional teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive sprint plans, daily progress updates, and formal sprint reports.
  • Document and distribute detailed meeting minutes, clearly defining action items and necessary follow-ups.
  • Facilitate and maintain clear, professional communication channels among developers, designers, Quality Assurance personnel, and external stakeholders.
  • Systematically monitor task statuses and proactively escalate any identified risks or potential delays to the designated project lead.
  • Assist in the professional maintenance and optimization of project management tools, including task boards, tracking systems, and roadmap documentation.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Timeliness of Deliverables: Percentage of tasks and milestones successfully tracked and completed according to schedule.
  • Sprint Documentation Quality: Assessment of the completeness, clarity, and professionalism of all generated sprint reports.
  • Task Tracking Accuracy: Verification of the correctness and integrity of task status updates and associated data.
  • Communication Effectiveness: Evaluation of the promptness and clarity of project updates and inter-team coordination.
  • Issue & Risk Identification: Record of the proactive and early detection and escalation of potential project blockers.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of a degree program in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated foundational understanding of project management methodologies or Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, sprints, backlog management).
  • Possesses exceptional organizational abilities and proven time-management proficiency.
  • Exhibits strong proficiency in both written and verbal professional communication.
  • Proficient in utilizing professional tools for data management, task tracking, and documentation.
  • Currently taking or completed Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
