Project Manager

Project Manager (PM/CM – Transportation & Transit)

Job Summary

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of complex transportation and transit infrastructure projects under on-call and task-order-based contracts. The role requires managing projects from planning through construction and closeout while ensuring compliance with public-agency requirements, safety standards, quality systems, and budget controls.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end delivery of assigned PM/CM task orders
Act as the primary point of contact with public agencies and stakeholders
Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality performance
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including designers, inspectors, contractors, and subconsultants
Lead project planning, work plans, staffing plans, and cost forecasts
Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to contract documents
Manage change orders, claims, and risk mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with FTA, state, and local regulations
Oversee QA/QC implementation and safety performance
Prepare and present project reports, schedules, and cost updates
Support DBE/SBE participation, documentation, and compliance
Lead project closeout activities and lessons learned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
10+ years of experience in project or construction management
Proven experience delivering transportation or transit infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of public-sector project delivery methods (DBB, DB, CMAR)
Experience managing consultants, contractors, and multiple stakeholders
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP certification
Experience working with transit agencies (e.g., Sound Transit, BART, LA Metro, VTA)
Experience with on-call / MATOC / IDIQ contracts
Familiarity with safety, environmental, and labor compliance requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
