POSITION SUMMARY
Chesapeake Geosystems is looking for a hands-on Project Manager to support geothermal construction projects. This role focuses on coordinating field operations, tracking schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
DUTIES:
- Support the execution of commercial geothermal projects from preconstruction through project closeout
- Coordinate drilling operations, borefield installation, and underground utility construction activities
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Track project progress and communicate updates, risks, and schedule impacts to the Senior Project Manager
- Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, jobsite walkthroughs, and coordination calls
- Monitor compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project quality standards
- Support cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience of progressive responsibility on similar construction projects
- Experience in commercial geothermal systems, drilling/loop installation, or site work (excavation and backfill) is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Procore, or similar)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel to project sites as required
