The Opportunity:
Calling all Project Managers! Lead the future of waterproofing in Auckland.
Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a passion for construction excellence and a proven track record in Waterproofing and maintenance projects? Do you thrive on leading high-performing teams, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring flawless project delivery? If so, we want to hear from you!
Key tasks and responsibilities:
As part of our dynamic Gunac | Waterproofing Specialists team, you will be responsible for assisting the Business with operational excellence of the Gunac Waterproofing - Liquids division, as well as successfully managing your own jobs/ projects and schedules of work across multiple client sites by achieving budgeted sales and margin targets and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. You will also coordinate processes and operations across the team whilst leading and managing the Site Supervisors, Team Leaders, Technicians and Subcontractors.
In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with the Chief Construction Officer, taking charge of the full project lifecycle – from initial client engagement and strategic planning to flawless execution and handover. You will be instrumental in developing our waterproofing division, driving growth, and ensuring all projects consistently meet budget, timeline, and quality targets.
What you'll bring:
- Minimum of 5 years' project management experience, with a strong focus on Liquid waterproofing application and roofing within the commercial construction industry.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role, with proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Highly client focus and proven relationship building skills.
- Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Ideally a qualification in Project Management or Construction.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Understanding of Liquid waterproofing systems and the NZ Building Code (NZBC).
- Current full Class 1 Driver Licence.
- A "Get Out There!" attitude – practical, dynamic, and reliable.
