Pt Retail Sales Associate

Are you our next Backyard Birding Expert? The Hilton Head Wild Birds Unlimited store is looking for an energetic and sociable person to join our team. At Wild Birds Unlimited, “We Bring People and Nature Together, and We Do it with Excellence!” In our store, we help people to learn more and to enjoy their backyard bird-feeding hobby.

As a Sales Associate, you will

- Contribute to a high energy, positive environment that provides Customers with an entertaining and fun experience

- Connect with Customers by asking open-ended questions to assess their needs and make appropriate suggestions

- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing products suiting their needs and preferences

- Provide an exceptional customer service experience by exceeding Customer expectations and demonstrating an excellent knowledge of the products and the Wild Birds Unlimited history and heritage

- Receive and unload seed truck and other shipments as necessary. Organizes and maintains seed inventory. Accurately checks in all merchandise shipments. Notes overages, shortages, damage.

- Prices merchandise accurately. Restocks floor as needed; backstock is priced and placed in appropriate storage area.

- Notifies owner / manager when products are low or sold out

- Fulfills MyWBU internet orders by processing the order, picking the product, and staging for fulfillment.

- Is comfortable with technology

- Effectively multi-tasks numerous responsibilities with minimal supervision

- Consistently strives to increase the overall level of customer satisfaction – always asking ‘What could I have done better?”

- Consistently lift seed and other product weighing up to 50lbs repetitively and boxes up to 70 lbs

- Has 3+ years of Sales experience

- Has flexible availability – This position will require weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays with some holidays required, however, no nights.

Our workplace contains multiple nuts and seed and is not an idea workplace for any nut allergies.
