Purchasing Buyer

Conduct the procurement process in an efficient manner by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality goods and services at competitive prices for the company, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to company standards.

Specific Duties

• Understanding purchasing requirements based on production, project, or operational needs.
• Collaborating with Properties to forecast demand.
• Scheduling and prioritizing purchases observing timelines
• Execute and choose the right procurement strategy (Sealed Bidding, Sole/Single Procurement, Phone Canvassing, E-Procurement, Repeat Order, Blanket PO and Scrap Bidding).
• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and price.
• Handling disputes or issues
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and conditions with vendors.
• Ensuring compliance with budgets while maintaining product or service quality.
• Contract negotiations and renewal
• Requisition review and validation
• Reviewing RFQs and Proposal for supplier assessments and selecting the best source.
• Creating and issuing accurate purchase orders (POs) using SAP.
• LOPO Processing and Approvals
• Tracking and following up on order confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Document control and Record Keeping

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in procurement, and supply chain roles
• Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing vendor relationships
• Strong product and material knowledge
• Experience in cost and value analysis
• Ability to assess supplier capabilities
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Dynamics
