Purchasing Intern

A Purchasing Intern supports the procurement team by assisting with purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and administrative tasks. Their role helps ensure smooth operations in the supply chain and procurement process.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:

• Assist in researching and evaluating potential suppliers.
• Support in obtaining and comparing quotes for materials, goods, and services.
• Help process purchase orders (POs) and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Communicate with vendors to track orders, deliveries, and resolve issues.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed.
• Maintain and update procurement databases and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and budget guidelines.
• Support cost analysis and report preparation for procurement decisions.
• Collaborate with different departments to meet purchasing needs.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information.

Job Types: Full-time, OJT (On the job training)

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Purchasing: 1 year (Preferred)
