About the role:

Metlifecare is on a journey to become a truly data-driven organisation, and we're looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to help us continue the journey. In this position you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance frameworks and practices across our digital product portfolio. Working closely with Digital Delivery Managers and technical leads, this role ensures quality is embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle while leading the implementation of effective testing strategies across the Build, Sell, and Operate value streams.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Quality Strategy and Governance
Develop and govern a quality assurance and testing strategy aligned to business objectives by establishing standards, embedding quality into delivery from inception, providing oversight across value streams, and defining metrics aligned to customer and service outcomes.

Test Leadership and Planning
Lead test planning and execution across digital initiatives by directing automation practices, ensuring adequate coverage and resources, managing UAT capability and enabling users through training and Azure DevOps support.

Quality Assurance Implementation
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes by managing test cases and defects in Azure DevOps, reporting on quality metrics and progress, and integrating quality practices into CI/CD pipelines.

Test Automation Strategy
Define and oversee a fit‑for‑purpose test automation strategy with the Test Engineer to ensure effective frameworks.

Stakeholder Management
Partner with delivery leaders, business stakeholders, vendors, and senior leadership to embed quality practices, sustain UAT capability, and transparently report on quality performance.

About you:

With approximately 8 years’ experience in quality assurance, you are a strong strategic thinker, with a customer-focused mindset and hands‑on technical expertise to drive high‑quality outcomes across complex digital environments. You will also have the following skill set and experience:

• Proven track record of establishing and scaling QA practices within mid‑sized digital teams.
• Strong expertise in test automation strategy, frameworks, and implementation.
• Experience working with enterprise platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Background in healthcare or aged care environments is highly advantageous.
• Deep understanding of modern testing methodologies, Agile delivery, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps for test management and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
