: R&D Study of Experimental Embedded Software for Supercomputers Internship

Profile: Our research and development center designs, develops, and validates high-end servers in terms of performance, robustness, and reliability. Our Enterprise servers are based on multiprocessor architectures (32 CPUs) and can host the largest in-memory databases.

Those dedicated to high-performance computing and used in supercomputers are among the most powerful in the world! The R&D architecture team defines the technical specifications of these products and supports ongoing technical monitoring of new technologies that could improve them.

In this context, we are looking for a final-year intern (engineering school or Master’s level) for a paid internship certified "Happy Trainees".

It will last 6 months and take place at the R&D site in Les Clayes-sous-Bois, in an environment equipped with cutting-edge machines.

The internship will be within the firmware architecture team and will focus on the study of an experimental embedded software suite for managing supercomputer hardware – including boot management, sensor data collection, software updates, security, etc.

The internship will include:

  • Exploring an innovative and experimental open-source project in close collaboration with its maintainers
  • Comparing the software architecture of this implementation with that of OpenBMC, a standard for server management
  • Studying the porting of modern high- and low-level hardware management protocols to this software suite
  • Deploying this work on an emulator and on R&D hardware....

Desired profile: Experience in Go development Good understanding of Linux userspace Ideally, prior contributions to open-source projects Strong adaptability and communication skills (in French and English) Great enthusiasm for cutting-edge computing technologies
