Real Estate Paralegal Or Attorney (Full-Time) – Toms River, Nj

A busy real estate law practice in Toms River, New Jersey is seeking a skilled Real Estate Paralegal or Attorney to join our growing team. We handle a high volume of residential and commercial transactions, and we are looking for someone who is experienced, organized, and comfortable managing files from contract to closing.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential and commercial real estate files from start to finish
• Draft and review contracts, riders, amendments, and closing documents
• Coordinate with lenders, title companies, realtors, attorneys, and clients
• Order and review title work, surveys, payoffs, and municipal searches
• Track contract deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on all file requirements
• Prepare and review closing packages, including ALTA/settlement statements
• Communicate professionally with all parties throughout the transaction
• Maintain organized digital files and meet closing timelines
• Handle post-closing follow-up as needed
• Manage interactions with clients, agents, and opposing counsel—even when they are stressed, anxious, angry, or difficult—with a calm, professional, solution-focused approach

Requirements

• Experience in real estate law is required (residential and/or commercial)
• Strong understanding of title, lender requirements, and the closing process
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional under pressure
• Ability to de-escalate situations and reassure anxious or upset parties
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage many files simultaneously
• Attention to detail and strong follow-through
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with real estate software or closing platforms is a plus (e.g., Qualia, EasySoft, Landtech)
• Paralegal certificate or JD preferred (not required if experience is strong)
