Registered Dental Assistant (Rda)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional care to our patients, particularly in the field of pediatric dentistry. This position requires a compassionate individual who is eager to support both the dental team and our young patients through their dental experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, particularly for pediatric patients.
• Maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate dental records within the clinic's system.
• Support various dental specialties including endodontics and general dentistry as needed.

Skills

• Proficiency in pediatric dentistry practices and understanding of dental terminology.
• Experience with X-ray technology and knowledge of vital signs monitoring.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
• Basic understanding of anatomy related to dental health and procedures.
• Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
• Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with children and their guardians in a dental clinic setting.
