JOB TITLE: Data Analyst

JOB TYPE: Part-time

LOCATION: Remote

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm Pacific time (20 hours/week)

COMPENSATION:

  • First 60 days - $6/hour
  • 6 days onward - $8/hour

Job Description:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data to support business decisions and drive operational efficiency. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a wide range of reports, automating processes to enhance efficiency, and providing actionable insights to improve the marketing team's performance and budget management. Your expertise in Excel automation, Power BI, and statistical analysis using Python will be key in delivering accurate and meaningful insights.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in data reporting and analysis - Understands how to structure recurring reports with accuracy and can handle time-sensitive data delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on actionable insights - Goes beyond reporting numbers interprets data to guide strategic business decisions and improvements.
  • Proven ability to advise marketing teams using data-driven insights- Translates data into clear recommendations that influence marketing strategy and budget allocation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including automation and complex formulas - Skilled in streamlining data processes and reducing manual tasks using Excel tools like macros, pivot tables, and advanced functions.
  • Experience in building and maintaining dashboards and automated reporting tools - Knows how to create user-friendly dashboards that provide real-time visibility and reduce reporting time.
  • Solid understanding of budget tracking and variance analysis - Supports financial planning by preparing accurate reports and highlighting key deviations from projected budgets.
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI (or similar BI tools) - Able to design interactive, visually compelling dashboards and integrate multiple data sources for a holistic view.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling (e.g., regression analysis in Python) - Applies statistical techniques to identify trends and correlations, enhancing the depth of insights provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy - Ensures reports are error-free and reliable a critical trait for data roles impacting business decisions.
  • Self-driven with a mindset for continuous improvement - Actively looks for ways to enhance reporting processes, stay up to date with industry tools, and improve efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills - Effectively explains complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Responsibilities:

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Develop and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Advise the marketing team on lead source performance, recommending budget adjustments based on data analysis.

Automation and Efficiency:

  • Automate data collection, processing, and reporting tasks using advanced Excel skills.
  • Create and maintain automated dashboards and reports to streamline reporting processes.

Budgetary Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed budgetary reports to assist in financial planning and management.
  • Monitor budget performance, provide variance analysis, and support accurate budget tracking and forecasting in collaboration with the marketing team.

Power BI Reporting:

  • Design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Integrate data from various sources to provide comprehensive insights.
  • Regularly update and maintain Power BI reports to ensure data is current and accurate.

Data Analysis and Statistical Techniques:

  • Conduct detailed data analysis using statistical techniques, including regression analysis in Python.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations to support data-driven decision-making.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously seek ways to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the home remodeling or related industry.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including VBA and other automation techniques.
  • Proficient in creating and managing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of Python for statistical analysis and regression techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly and effectively present data insights.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data handling and reporting.

Pay: Php459.04 - Php461.00 per hour
