Tasks

With an interdisciplinary consortium, you will design, build, and evaluate AI learning environments that support students and educators in understanding, critically reflecting on and responsibly using AI and related technologies in academic and societal contexts.
  • Reimagining AI and future skills education: Designing an innovative learning format that foster AI literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and responsible AI use - particularly in medical and interdisciplinary contexts
  • Creating and curating AI learning experiences: Developing, adapting, and scaling open educational resources and AI-enabled learning environments that go beyond traditional courses
  • Building and integrating AI learning infrastructures: Contributing to the development and integration of digital learning platforms, AI-supported learning tools, and learning assistants across university systems
  • Driving collaboration and impact: Coordinating closely with partners within the KI-Campus consortium, university teaching units, IT services, and medical education initiatives - and contributing to evaluation and impact assessment of future skills formats

Profile

  • Very good degree in computer science, AI / machine learning, data science, educational sciences, medicine, psychology, media studies, information systems, or related fields
  • Experience or strong interest in digital learning, curriculum development, educational innovation, or learning platforms
  • Solid understanding of AI systems, AI literacy, and societal implications of AI
  • Interest in open educational resources, open science, and responsible AI
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in interdisciplinary and multi-partner environments

The Faculty of Medicine is one of the four founding faculties of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. With its non-clinical facilities as well as its research and teaching area corresponding to the organisational units of the University Hospital, it is one of the largest medical training and research institutions in Baden-Württemberg.

About the Hertie Institute for AI in Brain Health

The “Hertie Institute for AI in Brain Health” (Hertie AI) at the Faculty of Medicine of the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen is funded by the Gemeinnützige Hertie Stiftung to develop AI algorithms, which detect diseases of the nervous system earlier and treat them better.
