Restaurant Assistant Manager

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

Purpose: The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing daily restaurant operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality customer service. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the restaurant's efficiency, profitability, and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Staff Supervision and Leadership:

- Lead and supervise the front-of-house team, including servers, hosts, and bussers.

- Train new employees, provide ongoing feedback, and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

2. Customer Service: - Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and promptly addressing any complaints or concerns.

- Build relationships with regular customers and identify opportunities to improve the overall dining experience.

- Implement and maintain high service standards and procedures.

3. Operational Management:

- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery times.

- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are met, adhering to all relevant regulations.

- Support the Restaurant Manager in implementing strategic initiatives to improve operations, profitability, and customer satisfaction

4. Health and Safety:

- Implement and enforce food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and best practices.

- Train staff on proper food handling and sanitation procedures. - Conduct regular inspections to ensure the restaurant is compliant with all relevant regulations.

5. Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a restaurant Supervisory role, preferably in a high-volume establishment

- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to quality.

- Flexibility with working hours including weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €38,000.00 per year
