Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service. The Restaurant General Manager will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests while driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, training, performance management & scheduling.
- Quality check clients and ensure everything is to their liking
- Identify positive/negative trends and plan course of action & coachings pertaining to the issue or methods of amplifying the positive trend.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including EOD reconciliations, server cashouts and staff tip distribution.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and increase repeat business.
- Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide ongoing training to ensure a skilled workforce.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, manage food & labor costs effectively.
- Create staff schedules to optimize labor efficiency while meeting the needs of the business.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to maintain a positive dining experience.
- Coordinate and plan large events for the establishment
Mandatory Experience & Requirements
- At least 3 years of dine-in restaurant management, not including fast food establishments.
- Experience with basic payroll, inventory & scheduling
- Experience in cash handling procedures and financial management within a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of bartending practices is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
- Must be able to legally work fulltime in Canada without sponsorship
- Can reliably commute to work
- Have a valid Smartserve
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $58,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
