We have an exciting job opportunity for a Restaurant Manager for our business.
As a Restaurant Manager you will be required to lead the team of enthusiastic people and deliver a service that ultimately leads to efficiency, sustainability and proves profitable to the business.
Benefits of the role:
Permanent Full Time Hours – Minimum 30-35
Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Ø Maintaining stock levels, purchasing raw material, meat and other food supplies for the restaurant.
Ø Working in consultation with the chef to plan general menu, specials for the weekend and takeaway.
Ø Maintaining high level of customer service.
Ø Greet customers
Ø Attend to any customer complaints
Ø Training staff on customer services
Ø Train staff on menu details / inform chef on how the particular dish is requested by a customer
Ø Ensuring clean and tidy dining area is maintained
Ø Ensuring that the staff have clean and tidy dress attire
Ø Ensure that Health regulations are met to be able to have “A” grade Premises Certificate.
Ø Compliant with Liquor Laws. Liquor Law regulations are required to be properly displayed.
Ø Recruiting waiting staff, provide training for the front staff, kitchen, and ensuring the chef complies with Health Regulations.
Ø Organize special party functions. Provide quotes for group booking menu.
Ø Taking reservations and train other staff on reservations. If full house booking made, confirm from the chef on the stock requirements so that Manager can order those stock.
Ø Maintain all records of financial transactions and stock on the record book.
Ø Recruiting, training and motivating staff
Ø Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
Ø Maintaining budget on purchase, sales target, staffing requirements.
Ø maintain records of the food according to council guidelines
Ø Customer relations: catering orders, work on menu for special occasion.
Ø Keep records of equipment and make sure they working properly and the service agreements are carried out.
Requirements for this role:
The candidates must be able to work on weekdays and weekends/ public holidays due to the nature of the job
Minimum of two years of relevant experience and tertiary qualification of minimum level 5 or higher is needed
Passionate about food and self-motivated team player that work well in service-oriented environments. Excellent communicators with strong work ethic and positive attitude
Eligible to work in New Zealand
A Manager and Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous
Council requirements for operating are met.
