Retail Associate & Ski Rental Technician

Overview
Wells Gray Outfitters is Clearwater's sporting goods and outdoors store. We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, customer focused and community minded individual to join our team immediately as we navigate busy hockey tournament weekends, Black Friday, Christmas shopping, Boxing week and hopefully a snowy ski season. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized retail space, and creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. The job may also require the successful candidate be capable of working alone and have the attention to detail required to safely fit and adjust rental equipment for guests at the Clearwater Ski Hill. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an interest in sports and/or outdoor activities, and be able to act as an ambassador of our brand in the community.

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, and guiding them through their shopping and/or rental experience.
• Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
• Maintain organized and visually appealing merchandise displays to attract customers.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized retail space including the sales floor, stock room and the exterior of the building.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a tidy work environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and learning about the products we sell and how to sell them.
• Must be available on weekends
• Must have reliable transportation to our retail store AND the Clearwater Ski Hill.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
