Roofing Project Manager

Noreaster Roofing is a locally owned and operated roofing company servicing all of Nova Scotia. We specialize in shingle, metal and flat roofing, and pride ourselves on our communication with customers and quality installations. We have crews of installers across Nova Scotia, and continue to add more.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a hands-on, organized and reliable project manager to join our team. This role is great for somebody who knows their way around a job site, isn't afraid to pitch in, and can keep projects running smoothly. You'll be working with our office team, and crews to make sure jobs go well start to finish.

What you'll be doing

Job tasks are not limited to the description below, however an average day would consist of:

• Auditing material orders and jobs prior to orders being placed and jobs being set up
• Roof inspections and obtaining measurements for our office team to create estimates from
• Delivery of metal packages, and any odds & ends needed for jobs with a company truck and trailer. Where possible shingle and flat roof orders will arrive via boom truck.
• Tackling occasional small repair jobs where needed
• Keeping a sufficient supply of everyday items needed for jobs such as underlay, coil nails, etc.
• Assist our crews in problem solving when situations arise that may delay the install process.
• Inspecting jobs after installation to ensure they meet quality standards, and removing any extra material from sites.
• Utilizing our CRM system to keep good communication and organization between our team and customers.
• Occasional presentation of estimates to customers where needed.

About you

• Experience in roofing or construction
• Strong communication skills
• Someone who can take initiative but also works well in groups
• Valid driver license
• Ability to haul flat deck and dump trailers
• Fall arrest certified, or willing to obtain upon hiring
• Moderate level of ability to use technology - We use many difference technology based systems to streamline our processes
• Ability to travel for most of your working day
• Previous sales experience a bonus
• Have lived and worked in Nova Scotia for 5+ years to have an understanding of the communities you're working in to best serve specific needs.

Compensation

• Company Vehicle
• Fuel Compensation/Company credit card
• Starting at $25/hr with increases based on skills and efficiency
• Part time to start - with ability to grow into full time.
