Overview

The Sales Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the sales team, managing customer relationships, and providing strategic insights into our performance in the Netherlands cannabis market. This role involves data analysis, performance reporting, competitive intelligence, and driving strategic recommendations to support growth and operational excellence.

Essential Functions
  • Leverage Analytics for Operational Success
  • Provide weekly sales reporting and identify short-term trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct a monthly performance review: analyze industry trends, competitor performance, and their impact on our portfolio.
  • Conduct in-depth performance analysis as needed to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve decision-making and drive growth.
  • Leverage data to provide sales KPIs to the sales team align with the company’s annual goals.

  • Support Sales Management
  • Support with communication with coffeeshops to ensure efficient ordering process and maintain strong relationships.
  • Gather weekly order sales data to understand potential demand.
  • Participate in weekly administrative tasks required to support the sales team.

  • Support Strategic Insights and Recommendations
  • Track and capture competitive information.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on the product portfolio, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitor product pricing, make strategic recommendations, and manage implementation of price changes when necessary.

In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.

Other Duties
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Leli Holland, a subsidiary of Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Safety Requirements
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The Company will provide the required PPE. Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to your Supervisor.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment as well as a cultivation environment, in coffeeshops, and traveling. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required.
  • Bending and stretching will be required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Mastery of the Dutch language, both verbal and written. English is a plus
  • Strong interest in the cannabis industry and coffeeshop culture.

  • Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot) and Power BI (Power Query).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • CPG or relevant industry experience is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualification Standards
Education:
  • A university Degree in a business-related field with a minimum of 3 years in an analytical role.

Experience
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, with proven success in managing relationships and resolving issues effectively.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Must be able to obtain Certificate of Conduct (VOG)
  • Valid Driver’s License
