THE JOB
In the role of Sales Manager, you will report to the Managing Director Sweden and lead the sales team, who will report directly to you. You will be part of the company’s commercial management team.
This is a key position within Ticketmaster, where you are expected to be ambitious, results-driven, and focused on driving growth together with the sales team by signing new clients, ensuring Ticketmaster retains existing clients, helping them grow, and identifying new revenue streams in the market.
In this role, you are expected to take responsibility for planning and executing the work needed to achieve the goals set by the company—both individually and by setting clear expectations for the sales team.
You are expected to regularly represent Ticketmaster at events and industry forums to build networks and drive sales.
Your naturally outgoing personality should always shine through, and you should have documented experience in new business sales with strong results, as well as leadership experience.
You are expected to:
- Independently manage your own sales pipeline and ensure structured documentation of your contacts
- Be the first point of contact for our clients and collaborate with them to develop integrated concepts for their ticket sales, considering various systems, planned marketing activities, and pricing strategies
- Acquire new clients
- Identify potential new business opportunities
- Represent Ticketmaster through constant contact with new clients
- Help increase awareness of Ticketmaster and further strengthen our market position
- Monitor the event market and communicate new developments
- Act as the interface between company departments such as event services, marketing, product management, support, etc.
- Actively contribute to the sales strategy
- Lead and contribute to sales meetings
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with all members of the sales team to follow up and coach them
- Actively collaborate with regional sales
- Understand the sensitivity and confidentiality surrounding client information
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Build new client relationships and leads through meetings, regular phone calls, and other types of outreach
- Negotiate new agreements
- Demonstrate product knowledge to effectively present the company’s technology and services to both clients and colleagues
- Maintain ongoing business dialogues with clients regarding increasing Ticketmaster’s ticket volume, the client’s total ticket sales, and the sale of new services and products within the ticketing system (Microflex) or the e-commerce platform
- Create tailored sales and marketing materials for different target audiences
- Actively work on mapping Ticketmaster’s total client potential
- Collaborate closely with Client Support and other colleagues in the market as well as regional colleagues
- Continuously update client information and activities in Salesforce
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Experience in leading and engaging teams, including leadership roles with team members reporting directly to you
- Documented experience in sales. Experience in the ticketing industry or a similar field (established relationships with promoters, event organizers, and venue managers) is a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a proactive and logical approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent in the local language and have strong English proficiency
