The roles will give the ideal candidate exposure to a number of exciting automation projects.

The successful candidate to join an established team Designing and Developing Process Automation Systems based on Aveva, Rockwell, Ignition & Siemens Platforms. Our client, with Offices in Cork & Kildare, Deliver turnkey Industrial Automation Solutions from Batch Control Systems, PLC & SCADA Systems to Control Panels & MCC Panels for their Pharma, Food & Beverages, Data Centre & Manufacturing Customers in Ireland, UK & across Europe.

Role: Senior Automation Engineer & Automation Engineer

The role is suited to Senior Automation Engineers & Automation Engineers who have a strong demonstrable PLC background, strong interpersonal skills and has a proven track record in the industry and an ability to work under pressure.

The role is predominately office based with requirement to attend site during commissioning phases. The major part of this role involves PLC programming and SCADA development.

The work will involve, design, PLC & HMI Programming, Installation and Commissioning of projects in water, wastewater and industry. The Automation Engineer shall design program and commission projects from initial Control philosophy development to site handover.

Main Tasks:

● Developing FDS, SDS, FAT & SAT Documentation

● Functional Design Specification

● Software Design Specification

● Factory Acceptance Testing

● Site Acceptance Testing

PLC Programming

● Rockwell ControlLogix & CompactLogix

● Siemens S7 300 / S7 400 & S7 1500 Series

SCADA Development

● Aveva InTouch & Aveva System Platform

● Ignition SCADA

● Rockwell FactoryTalk

● Siemen WinCC

Networks

● Ethernet/IP

● Profinet & Profibus

On Site Commissioning

● Support On Site Commissioning, start-up & Acceptance tests.

● Provide technical & service support to new & existing customers.

● Creating technical support documentation

Requirements

● Third level qualification in Software, Automation, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.

● Good documentation practices as per GAMP 5

● As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will report to the Operations Director and execute projects both individually and as part of a team, with attendance at client sites as required.

● Experience in software development and testing in Aveva InTouch, Aveva System Platform & Ignition SCADA Platform, Rockwell FactoryTalk Platform & Siemens WinCC

● Experience in Variable Speed Drives – Siemens, Rockwell & ABB

● Experience in Ethernet/IP & Profinet communications in industrial applications
