Senior Backend Developer (Remote)

The Company

Mosey is a new food finding app for finding food trucks, cafes, and restaurants and all food and coffee away from home. It features abilities that don’t exist with the current food finding apps such as Google or Instagram or booking services. We offer businesses that take bookings a Booking Profile and businesses such as cafes and food trucks a Show Profile that gives them full access to features except for booking. Our key features include businesses being able to post to a timeline, users to post ratings, and shared favourites lists like a shared playlist on Spotify.

The Contract

The role is for 35 hours a week to be worked remotely.

There is a degree of flexibility with your hours, but our core days are Monday – Friday. Your hours can be worked flexibly within this.

The Role

The role requires either a senior backend developer for our applications and web app. We look for someone collaborative who approaches development as problem solving.

The role will require you to:

• Report to the CTO and develop across our user app and web apps
• Be creative, and take a collaborative approach to how we can improve design and functionality for users
• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect customer data, systems, and intellectual property, including compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with product, sales, marketing, operations, and customer success teams to understand customer needs, gather feedback, and make changes
• Write new code while fixing existing problems
• Troubleshooting and testing of new and old features
• Develop for scalability, performance, and reliability to handle growing user bases and workloads.
• Manage and develop systems for data and analytical performance
• Manage and knowledge of app store deployment

Requirements

A minimum 5 years experience with:

o AWS (Lambda, RDS, Cognito and other services)

o Go/Golang

o Amplify

o API Design

o Database design

o PostgreSQL/ Postgres

o Github/ Git
