Senior Day Porter

The Newpark Hotel are looking for a Senior Day Porter to join the Team.

Main Duties

• Assisting with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage.
• Support event and conference setups, including room layouts and turnaround cleaning.
• Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotel including, but not restricted to the lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant and bar floor, public and staff areas, and the meeting room floor.
• Responsible for cleaning other areas as directed by manager on duty and also as per nightly checklist which may include set up of function rooms, breakfast area, etc.
• To have a full understanding of the hotels’ fire procedures to ensure the safety of all staff and guests at all times.
• Other ad-hoc duties in line with Management request.

Requirements

• 2 Years Experience strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
• Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and varied shifts.
