About the role
The Senior Dietitian – Mental Health Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing clinical leadership and high-quality services to patients/clients of the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) to meet health and wellbeing needs.
This role is responsible for the provision of a clinical nutrition service consistent with evidence-based practice to:
- Community adult mental health clients
- Children & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) community clients and their families/carers
- Mental Health Inpatient Services at Dubbo Health Service (Gundaymarra and Barraminya)
Extensive specialist knowledge will be required to provide professional leadership for the Dietetic Service and direct clinical nutrition services to mental health client groups, their family members and carer’s within a multidisciplinary perspective.
