The Senior Graphic Designer is a full-time permanent position that plays a pivotal role in leading the conceptualisation, development, and execution of visual communications across print, digital, video, and environmental formats. This position ensures that all creative outputs align with EIT brand strategy and contribute to meaningful engagement with our audiences. Working within the Marketing and Communications team, the role partners with internal stakeholders to deliver compelling, high‑quality design solutions that elevate EIT’s profile and support organisational priorities.
The appointing salary for this role will be dependent on skills and experience.
The Senior Graphic Designer is based in our Marketing and Communications division and reports to the Director, Marketing and Communications. The role will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of visual communication across multiple media formats
- Maintaining and evolving the brand style guide and visual identity system
- Designing and producing creative outputs including print, signage, digital advertising, web assets, infographics, and motion graphics
- Providing creative leadership, mentoring, and contributing to design innovation within the team
- Managing design workflows, supplier engagement, and end‑to‑end production processes
He kōrero mōu | About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in graphic design or a related discipline
- 5–10 years of professional experience, with at least five years in a senior design role
- Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Premiere Pro
- Demonstrated experience delivering creative projects independently from brief to completion
- Strong understanding of brand systems, typography, composition, colour theory, and integrated marketing
