About the role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior HR Generalist to join our HR team and play a key role in shaping a positive employee experience while ensuring strong HR operations, employee relations, and compliance practices.

This is a highly impactful role where you will be involved in end-to-end HR operations, complex employee relations cases, works council collaboration, and HR policy & process improvement, working closely with the HR Manager and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Employee Experience
  • Provide daily HR operational support and handle employee inquiries to ensure efficient and smooth HR service delivery; manage the HR Support mailbox and take full ownership of end-to-end case resolution, ensuring timely response and effective closure of employee requests.

  • Support the HR Manager in daily HR operations and ensure the effective execution and delivery of key HR initiatives.

  • Support full-cycle HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.

  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement employee engagement and employee care initiatives, enhancing employee experience and engagement.

  • Manage vendor contracts and maintain supplier relationships to ensure compliant and efficient cooperation processes.

  • Provide support during critical business periods to ensure continuity of HR operations.

Employee Relations & Risk Management
  • Manage complex employee relations cases (including labor disputes), oversee end-to-end case handling, and develop solutions to mitigate employment risks.

  • Support the handling of sensitive and high-risk employee cases by providing professional guidance to ensure compliant and effective resolution.

  • Continuously improve employee relations processes by identifying potential risks and proposing improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with works councils, ensuring effective and constructive working relationships.

  • Leverage works council channels to support employee engagement initiatives, satisfaction improvement, and culture-building programs, strengthening employee belonging and organizational cohesion.

Compliance & Policy Management
  • Participate in the development, review, and optimization of HR policies and procedures (including employee handbook) to ensure compliance and alignment with business needs.

  • Drive the implementation of HR policies across the organization and continuously improve execution effectiveness.

Data & Reporting Support
  • Support HR data collection, consolidation, and analysis, and prepare reports to provide insights for HR decision-making and continuous improvement.

Project Management & Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Support the execution of key HR projects (e.g., employee benefits optimization, compliance initiatives), ensuring timely and effective delivery.

  • Coordinate cross-regional and cross-functional HR matters, facilitating collaboration and driving efficient resolution of complex issues.

Team Support & Capability Development
  • Guide and support HR Specialists in their daily work through knowledge sharing and capability building, contributing to overall team performance and operational efficiency.

Required skills, qualifications, and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

  • 5–8 years of relevant HR experience, with solid experience in HR operations and employee relations.

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR policies, with proven ability to independently handle complex employee relations cases and labor disputes.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and complex situations.

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

  • Strong data literacy with the ability to support HR decision-making through data analysis.

  • Experience in cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration within complex organizational environments.

  • Experience working with works councils or in multi-country HR environments is a plus.

  • Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese or Dutch is considered a plus.
