Senior Import Executive / Assistant Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Import Executive / Assistant Manager to join Penanshin Shipping Pte. Ltd. at our HQ. This role supports our Import Manager in overseeing daily import operations and ensuring smooth customs clearance and coordination with overseas partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Import Manager in managing daily import operations
• Coordinate import arrangements and provide operational support to the sales team
• Work with internal teams to improve operational processes and efficiency
• Liaise with overseas branches and appointed agents on shipment matters
• Ensure import procedures comply with company policies and ISO 9001 standards
• Act as a key point of contact for customs-related matters (Inter-Gateway permits)
• Prepare operational and performance reports for management
• Handle other import-related duties as required

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3–6 years’ experience in import operations or freight forwarding
• Familiar with import documentation and customs procedures
• Strong coordination and organisational skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills (written and spoken)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
