The Position

This role supports clear, consistent corporate communication across Seequent’s global business. The Senior Internal Communications Specialist focuses on sharing what’s happening across the company, including product highlights, business updates, company events, colleague updates, and internal learning opportunities. Working closely with the Culture & Communications Lead, this role helps turn business activity into clear, relevant updates so colleagues stay informed, connected, and proud of the work happening across Seequent.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Plan and deliver clear internal updates that highlight product developments, business milestones, and company activity.
  • Write and publish global updates across agreed channels, including email, intranet, and collaboration platforms.
  • Apply senior editorial judgement to prioritize messages, manage volume, and protect the effectiveness of all staff communication channels.
  • Manage day to day publishing and updates on Inside Seequent as the company intranet.
  • Actively review intranet content to spot gaps, duplication, or unclear information and partner with content owners to improve the usefulness of information over time.
  • Contribute forward planning of internal communications to ensure a balanced, predictable flow of updates.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop clear written summaries, announcements, or follow up communications when required.
  • Track and review engagement across key channels to understand what resonates with colleagues over time.
  • Own the planning and delivery of assigned business communications within the internal communications calendar.


To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 7+ years in internal communications, experience in employee communication bonus
  • Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Internal communications planning and delivery within a business environment
  • Specialized Knowledge: Writing and editing business, product, or operational updates for internal audiences
  • Specialized Knowledge: SharePoint and digital collaboration platforms, including intranet publishing and maintenance
  • Skills: Clear, confident writing and editing skills for internal audiences
  • Skills: Experience in translating complex or technical information into clear, digestible messages for a broad internal audience
  • Abilities: Build trust and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders


Additional Information

Office-based working environment, work from our Christchurch, New Zealand office three or more days per week.
