About the Role
Join a high visibility programme team where IT is a strategic partner as the Senior IT Project Manager. You will lead sophisticated, cross functional delivery that pushes the boundaries of science and transforms how we work, directly impacting patients and our mission.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborator leadership: Build executive alignment, run steering forums, and partner with Business Relationship Managers to communicate status, risks and decisions.
- Benefits delivery: Own measurable user benefits and ensure realization against agreed outcomes.
- Planning and execution (Agile & ADF): Define and approve integrated plans (scope, schedule, resources, quality) and drive delivery through Agile and AZ’s Adaptive Delivery Framework.
- Risk, issue and change control: Proactively handle risks and issues; run change control; raise and resolve to protect scope and timelines.
- Financials and reporting: Own budgets and forecasts; provide clear, decision‑ready reporting to collaborators and review boards.
- Governance and compliance: Establish programme governance; lead decision point reviews; ensure adherence to Agile, ADF, quality, compliance, architecture and technical standards.
- Team leadership and suppliers: Build a high‑performing team; coordinate with both in-house and outside suppliers; deliver to AZ standards.
- Digital & AI Enablement: Ensure technologies enables quality digital and AI advancements to allow the business to unlock benefits at speed.
Essential Requirements
- Education & experience: Technical/Business degree or equivalent experience; 7+ years as an IT Project/Programme Manager.
- Methods & certifications: Validated delivery using Lean/SAFe; certifications such as LEAN/SAFe, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile are beneficial.
- Clinical & business insight: Clinical domain knowledge with strong commercial awareness and environmental sensitivity.
- Leadership & communication: Strong communication and relationship skills across senior collaborators, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
- Finance & benefits: Hands-on financial management, including control of budgets > $20M, and benefits realization practices.
- Global delivery & governance: Experience leading geographically dispersed teams (matrixed/onshore/offshore/vendor) with strong governance, risk, and issue management.
- Vendor & technology: Selection and management of solution vendors/system integrators; broad understanding of platforms, integrations, data migration, and SaaS.
- Innovation & impact: Track record of shaping innovative solutions with significant organizational impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- GxP Delivery: Experience delivering GxP product/platform implementations.
- Experience partnering with Business Relationship Managers, product owners, and steering committees.
- Pharma/biotech or large-scale enterprise experience.
- Background in end-to-end integration delivery across internal and external suppliers.
