At ING, we’re more than just a bank — we’re a place where people are empowered to do their thing. We believe banking should be simple, seamless, and support people in living their lives. That’s why we focus on creating intuitive, customer-first experiences that remove friction and help our customers stay a step ahead.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to help drive our growth by shaping and enhancing our Everyday Banking experience for customers. You’ll be a member of our Product Area Product Management team within ING's One Way of Working organisation, collaborating with other squad members to achieve the product area’s purpose. A Senior Product Manager will have expertise in one or more of the areas of product management, channel and/or process optimisation, or other relevant areas that are required in the squad.
In addition, you’ll be responsible for the development, management and end-to-end lifecycle of Retail products, services, channels and processes across key areas. You’ll understand how these elements connect, enabling you to deliver seamless customer experiences while achieving ING’s business objectives
This is a permanent role based in Sydney.
What you’ll do
- Determine and formulate the business and product requirements for existing and new products and services within the legislative and regulatory frameworks and in line with customer interests.
- Design a strategy for products, channels, promotion, and product and process quality, in keeping with ING’s brand and local and global strategic and regulatory objectives and with a customer perspective as the optimal starting point to create an ideal customer journey.
- Manage product risks and product requirements relating to the customer, supplier and regulators including all financial & non-financial risk.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritise initiatives, align on objectives and deliver product enhancements that drive customer and business outcomes.
- Monitor product and customer performance, using data and insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation of the customer journey.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience in banking or financial services, ideally with exposure to transaction banking, deposits or payments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships across the business.
- Proven project delivery experience, with the ability to prioritise, drive outcomes and navigate complexity to get things done.
- Experience in portfolio analysis, with a solid understanding of customer behaviour and the ability to translate insights into forecasting, reporting and optimisation opportunities.
- A customer-first mindset, with a passion for delivering simple, meaningful and high-quality customer experiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make data-informed decisions and challenge ideas constructively.
What’s in it for you?
- Discounted ING Health Insurance
- An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing
- An IMPACT day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity
