Senior Technical Product Manager, Study Lifecycle Tooling, Evinova

Are you passionate about using technology to make a difference in people’s lives? At Evinova -part of the AstraZeneca group - our mission is to transform healthcare and improve patient outcomes worldwide through innovative digital solutions.

Unified Trial Solutions (UTS) is a clinical trial platform designed to simplify the trial experience for all participants and accelerate the digitization of clinical trials. You will join the Study Lifecycle Tooling crew, which delivers the customer-facing tools essential for configuring, deploying, and operating UTS for customers and end users.

As a Senior Technical Product Manager within the Study Lifecycle Tooling crew, you will own and lead the technical requirements strategy and execution across the squads in the crew. You will bring technical expertise and partner closely with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager and Solution Architect to align and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements, shape short- and long-term roadmaps, and ensure our solution and ways of working meet Evinova SOPs and quality standards, and regulatory expectations.

You will steward backlog excellence, drive cross-crew alignment with Unified Trial Solution and the Delivery team, and communicate a clear, outcome-led roadmap that aligns with the crew’s overall vision while ensuring near-term deliverables and measurable value.

What You’ll Do

You will:

  • Partner with the Product Manager to align the roadmap across the squads to ensure a solid short and long-term plan to meet the objectives and continuous delivery of value.
  • Provide leadership across multiple squads by proactively managing cross squad dependencies and coaching Product Owners on requirements excellence aligned to Evinova SOPs
  • Make data-informed trade-off decisions across scope, quality, risk, and timelines; and clearly communicating rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders to keep near-term delivery predictable while safeguarding long-term product integrity.
  • Coordinate and manage dependencies with teams outside the crew
  • Define, refine, and maintain high-quality technical requirements and acceptance criteria that are traceable to outcomes and compliant with Evinova SOPs and quality standards.
  • Establish and continuously improve requirements practices (definitions of ready/done, traceability, documentation standards, and tooling usage)
  • In collaboration with the Solution Architect and Engineering Manager ensure non-functional requirements (security, privacy, performance, reliability, observability, scalability) are captured, validated, and verified.
  • Support squads and cross-squad initiatives with technical requirements excellence, providing hands-on contributions when needed to unblock delivery
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture on technical spikes, solution options, and feasibility assessments; synthesize trade-offs into product decisions.
  • Work hands-on with requirements when needed to ensure successful delivery across the crew.

Who You Are

You:

  • Are genuinely interested in software engineering and enjoy structured problem-solving.
  • Have a background in software development and understand what is required to deliver robust technical products in regulated environments.
  • Are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable making trade-offs across scope, quality, risk, and timelines.
  • Communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal, adapting depth to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • 10+ years in product, program, or technical delivery roles, with at least 3+ years in a technical product management capacity.
  • Proven experience defining and managing technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and traceability in multi-team environments.
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, observability).
  • Experience with quality management and SOP-driven delivery; understanding of data privacy, security, and GxP-adjacent or regulated software considerations is a plus.
  • Tools: Proficiency with backlog and documentation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps/Jira, Confluence), and requirements management and traceability practices.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in clinical study operations or adjacent domains.
