Department: Front of House (FOH)
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / FOH Supervisor
Work Location: Commonwealth, Quezon City

Job Summary

The Receptionist–Cashier is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, handling customer inquiries, and processing guest payments accurately and efficiently. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and professional first impression while supporting smooth front-of-house operations and cashiering functions.

The Receptionist–Cashier helps maintain excellent customer service standards and ensures that guest flow, reservations, and payment transactions are handled properly in accordance with restaurant policies.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesGuest Reception & Customer Service

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a professional and welcoming first impression.
  • Assist in coordinating guest seating and communicate effectively with servers and floor staff.
  • Manage walk-in guests, reservations, and waiting lists in an organized manner.
  • Escort guests to their tables when necessary.

Reservation & Guest Coordination

  • Manage reservations through the restaurant’s booking system, phone calls, or walk-ins.
  • Provide accurate information regarding restaurant hours, menu offerings, promotions, and events.
  • Coordinate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth guest flow.

Cashiering & Payment Processing

  • Process guest payments including cash, card, and digital transactions accurately.
  • Issue official receipts and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Report any discrepancies immediately to the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor.

Guest Relations & Issue Handling

  • Address guest concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Escalate serious concerns or service issues to the Restaurant Manager promptly.

Administrative & Front Desk Support

  • Maintain daily reservation logs, guest records, and cashier reports.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as recording daily transactions and maintaining guest data.
  • Keep the reception and waiting area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Team Support

  • Coordinate with the Front-of-House team, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service operations.
  • Assist in other front-of-house duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least Senior High School graduate, preferably with hospitality or business-related training.
  • Experience as a Receptionist, Host/Hostess, or Cashier in a restaurant or hospitality setting is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentable, polite, and customer-service oriented.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.
  • Must be willing to work in Commonwealth, Quezon City.
  • Available to start ASAP.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php16,000.00 - Php18,070.00 per month
