Shop Sales Assistant (Summer Role)

The Good Fish Company is a leading player in the Irish fresh fish market. We are currently looking for sales assistant / fishmonger to join our shops in Douglas and Carrigaline. Previous retail and customer experience is an advantage, however full training will be provided for those without.

It is a SUMMER TIME role, shops are closed Sundays and Bank Holidays. Starting salary €14.15 upwards based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Dealing with customers while offering a high level of customer service.
• Handling cash and card transactions through the till.
• Carrying out daily orders, date checks and stock counts.
• Following company procedures as well as complying with HACCP & Food Safety regulations.
• Preparing a display counter, merchandising freezers and dairy walls.

The people we are looking for will have:

• Till Sales and Customer Service.
• Hardworking, flexible and punctual
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Basic IT skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic and willingness to learn from the best in the business.
• Own transport or ability to get to both locations when needed.

Job Type: Temporary
