We’re seeking an experienced Site Superintendent (Fixed‑Term Contract) to support a high‑profile international project for the Government of Canada. Your Impact at LAURIN:
As a Site Superintendent, you will be the primary on‑site representative for LAURIN and play a critical role in the successful delivery of construction work at a secure diplomatic facility. You will be fully responsible for day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring the work is performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and security requirements.
You will work closely with project management, subcontractors, consultants, and a Government of Canada Departmental Representative to maintain schedule, quality, and site discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide full on‑site supervision of all construction activities during working hours.
  • Act as LAURIN’s authorized site representative, receiving and implementing all instructions, directions, and notices.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental standards, including mission‑specific protocols.
  • Maintain site security requirements, including compliance with escorting and access procedures.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and materials, corrective actions, and deficiency resolution.
  • Maintain site records, daily logs, and reporting as required.
  • Promote professionalism, discipline, and respectful conduct among all site personnel.
  • Liaise regularly with the Project Manager and escalate issues as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a construction site supervision role (Superintendent or equivalent)
  • Proven experience overseeing subcontractors and managing active construction sites
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within highly regulated or security‑controlled environments
  • Thorough understanding of construction safety practices and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work full‑time on site during active work hours
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance
  • Capacity to act professionally and diplomatically in a client‑facing role
  • Canadian citizenship and/or eligibility to travel on a Canadian passport is strongly preferred due to project security and diplomatic access requirements.
Education & Professional Credentials:
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Trade certification or Red Seal designation is considered an asset
  • Health & Safety training (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Protection) considered an asset
Contract Term & Compensation:
  • Fixed‑term contract ending July 31, 2026
  • Daily rate: $1,000 per day
  • Return airfare and accommodations provided by LAURIN
  • Payment structure and contract details will be confirmed in the formal agreement
