Skilled Finish/Remodeling Carpenter

Thomas Construction – Amsterdam, NY
Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay: $35–$50/hour based on experience

We’re looking for a skilled, self-motivated remodeling carpenter to join our team at Thomas Construction. This is not an apprentice or helper position — we need someone who can take a kitchen or bathroom remodel from start to finish, everything short of plumbing and electrical.

Responsibilities

• Complete kitchen and bathroom remodels independently
• Perform framing, sistering joists, cabinetry, flooring, trim, drywall, and finish work
• Understand basic plumbing and electrical layouts for coordination purposes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and crew members

Qualifications

• Proven experience in remodeling and finish carpentry
• Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
• Detail-oriented with pride in craftsmanship
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Own basic carpentry tools
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
