Key Exciting Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a full-stack software development team through active coaching, mentoring, and professional development to achieve excellence in innovation.
Partner with Product Management and Engineering peers to align technical execution with the overall product strategy and long-term roadmaps.
Drive the delivery of high-quality features and cloud-based applications, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid execution of the development lifecycle.
Analyse, design, and modify web-based software applications while maintaining a focus on quality, scalability, and technical excellence.
Foster a culture of ownership and accountability by delegating tasks and empowering employees to take responsibility for their individual and team goals.
Essential Skills & Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Software Engineering with a deep understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on networking, partnering, and effective conflict management.
Bonus Points For
Previous experience leading or mentoring a software development team.
Technical proficiency with backend systems written in .Net C# and modern frontend web development frameworks.
Familiarity with SaaS products hosted on Azure or similar cloud platforms.

Location: Christchurch or Wellington, New Zealand, In Office
This role could be based at either Trimble’s NZ headquarters in Christchurch, New Zealand (handily located on the Little River Link Cycleway), where you will enjoy free parking, securely covered bike sheds, table tennis, an onsite gym, showers, an active social club, and a great team environment where people love working with leading technology solutions, or you could work from our Trimble Wellington office in the downtown area, close to Cuba Street Mall, home to up to 20 Trimble employees, where you will enjoy views out over Wellington harbour, a collaborative team space, free fruit and coffee, and a great environment where people love working with leading technology solutions.
Travel Requirement: Occasional travel required (not extensive)
