We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Spare Parts Configurator to join our team. The successful candidate will be the key person responsible for managing and optimizing the entire spare parts configuration process. This role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive accurate, compatible, and timely spare parts lists based on complex technical specifications and product requirements.


Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, Spare Parts LMS Cranes. This position is based in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.

More tasks and responsibilities


  • Analyse and break down product structures to determine appropriate levels of spare parts information.
  • Create and update technical illustrations, service instructions and exploded views for spare parts catalogues and internal / external documentation.
  • Establish and maintain spare part articles within our PLM and ERP systems.
  • Collect, verify, and process technical data from sub-suppliers and partners to build comprehensive spare parts structures.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in spare parts documentation in cooperation with engineering, procurement, and product / lifecycle management.
  • Support the development of standards, methods, and processes for spare parts configuration and documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and product support efficiency.

What you’ll need to succeed


To excel in this role, you must have a solid technical background and the ability to easily understand complex product details and technical drawings. You should be highly organized, focused on precision, and comfortable working with key systems like SAP and PLM to manage spare parts data. Your ability to solve problems quickly and communicate clearly with both technical teams and external partners will be key to your success in this role.


Ideally you have


  • Technical or commercial background, Bachelor degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant business / product experience - preferred with marine lifting equipment
  • Good knowledge in SAP, PLM and Google Suite
  • Familiar with CAD systems and technical drawings
  • Wide technical knowledge including electric / electronic, hydraulic and mechanical aspects of marine products.
  • Experience from service jobs and commissioning of cranes as a beneficial
  • Good team working and communication skills.
  • Fluent English verbal and writing
  • Familiar with spare parts and technical specifications
