Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking multiple skilled and experienced Special Servicepersons – Sumps and Pumps, in the Fill & Services Department at George Fisher Mine. This position is residentially based in Mt Isa.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and skilled individual to join us in the role of a Special Serviceperson – Sumps and Pumps within the Fill & Services Department. Reporting to the Fill & Services Supervisor, you will be required to monitor and maintain the underground operational dewatering network at GFM. You will also be required to carry out improvement projects related to dewatering. Extensive experience in underground services installation and operating a Volvo and/or Caterpillar Integrated Tool Carrier is required. Experience with air and electric operated dewatering pumps is highly desirable. The roster for this role is on a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift.

- Assisting services and construction crews as required
- Engaging with a number of department stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
The successful candidate will possess:
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Minimum of 2 years underground experience in a similar role – Serviceperson, Nipper, Offsider
- Hard working, reliable and able to work unsupervised
- Strong focus on completing the job safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skills
- Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
- Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
